Welcome to my site!

They always say: "Better late than never" and this is my life, so to speak. After a few short professional "excursions" into various industries, I thought I had found my dream job in the registration department of a physiotherapy practice.

I held this view for 20 years. Working with people and the feeling of being able to make a difference - that fulfilled me. Then came COVID. To make good use of the forced break, I teamed up with some friends and we set up a charity project for a children's cancer organization.

It was a biography for a band and I did the background research and wrote the manuscript. I enjoyed finding out everything that was hidden during the research, I loved the contact with people during interviews and didn't want to miss it anymore. And so, in my mid-forties, I found my dream job: journalist.

After two years of part-time studies and a few articles for a regional newspaper, I am now starting my new life with this blog. Join me in one of my hobbies: discovering foreign cultures. Join me in the thick of the action and let's find out together what goes on "behind the scenes".

Have fun reading!
